Calculate the buffer capacity for a mixture of 0.01 moles of acetic acid and 0.03 moles of NaOAc in 100mL of total solution. pKa = 4.76
I know the equation for buffer capacity is B = 2.3 x C x alpha (1-alpha)
The work I have for this is 2.3 x 0.4 x (0.25(1-0.25))
But i don't understand how you get the 0.03 moles and 0.01 moles into Molarity. My work says it ends up being 0.1M and 0.3M but I don't get how to do that?
