Calculate PP being placed on the straps at any given mph given the weight of the bag

strapped to roof of a car? I have a luggage bag I'm going to strap to my roof for a vacation. I need to get longer straps for it. I'd like to know how many pounds of pressure are going to be put on the straps at a given mph given the weight of the bag and contents. Is there a formula for something like this?
 
Not really. There are too many variables. Besides, it's really not safe.

I remember once seeing an idiot who strapped a sheet of plywood to his roof; when he crested an overpass, he became airborne for a good distance until the plywood shattered and he came crashing down.
