what are the pros and cons for taking caffeine before running an 800 and a 400 and a 200? I'm running all 3 of those events at a nationals qualification track meet for my club team and it's going to be like 100 degrees and i'll be exhausted. i rarely ever have caffeine (maybe a cup of tea every 2 weeks or something), and i've been reading up about how many runners have caffeine before an event and their performance is LEGALLY enhanced. do you recommend it for just this one day? if so, what do i take and in what quantities? caffeine pills or coffee? how often? i weigh about 100 pounds, so how much?
