Has anyone seen this movie? It was released in 2008 and apparently is a very good movie.

I am going to get it as I didn't know it was a biopic on Etta James.

So, is this a good movie?

I saw the film and enjoyed it but I only saw the film as I am a huge Beyonce fan, I was dissapointed however- She doesn't come onscreen for almost an hour I'd say and she isn't in it very much. Good film otherwise but.

I've seen it a couple times since it was on Sky recently. It was ok but nothing compared to Ray imo

I didn't like it. Beyonce isnt even in the majority of the movie. She is probs in the last 40 mins, maybe just under an hour.

It was a failure at the box office and i can see why. It told a true story without actually being entertaining.

Plus it isn't a biopic of Etta Jones. It's about the artists that were on the label, Cadillac RecorRAB, hence the title.

Actually the label was called Chess.

It's okay, but takes a lot of liberties with the truth. Yes, Beyonce isn't in it much.
