...water in my oil!? I have had this car for three months. t started with a bit of muddy stuff on the ground. Turns out that the radiator overflow tank was overflowing onto the ground, and the coolant had turned to a muddy brown substance. I hoped the previous owner had mixed normal coolant with the dexcool, but it turns out that oil is getting into the coolant. The Cadillac dealer said it needs an oil cooler, but my local mechanic said he tested the oil cooler and that it is fine. He also said the oil cooler would cause water to get in the oil too, and there is definitely no water in the oil. What might be causing this?

most cases the head gasket but its possible oil cooler on th esuck in side or retun side is bad which would suck water into oil which woul dalso work the other way it could be either one cooler or head gasket id go with what the local mechanic said if the radiator is over filling its pressure leak os most likely the head gasket and it can go either way oil in water or water in oil depends on where the gasket bust at somewtimes it leaks out the back too so id say the head gasket is broken into a water jacket and that the problem
