I had the same problem with my trunk and it was the cause of my battery dying. Once you get the trunk motor pull-down fixed everything will be good to go.

I keep getting new batteries for my Cadillac but the batteries keep dying. I took the alternator into an auto shop and they said it works fine. My boyfriend tried to change the battery a couple times and the bolts are pretty stripped, i was told this could possibly be a problem also, because the battery is charging, but it just keeps dying, i don't understand. could it really just be some simple bolts? I;m praying it is,.
could it also be anything to do with : my trunk wont close all the way because the trunk motor died out, is it possible it could still be trying to close? or is it all the way powerless without the motor? kind of a no -brainer i know, but doesn't hurt to ask.

I had a very similar problem with mine... I bought a brand new battery for my car and I put the clamps on the thingy's that stick out quite tight. But the thing is the battery was not competely stable so after driving for a while the clamps would compe loose and then the battery would die. I thought it was my alternator I had alot of trouble then I found this out after hours of fiddling with it. What I had to do was make sure the battery was not going to move by clamping it down and using some wood to keep it from gliggling.

Anyway, if the clamps are loose then this could be the problem.

You might have a parasitic draw somewhere possibly glove box or trunk light always on. If not take it to a mechanic to locate the draw

If it isn't the alternator....
is the battery hooked up properly?
is there anything that is not shutting off when you turn the car off? (interior or exterior lights? A light in the trunk? etc...something may be draining the battery every time you shut the car off)

there are other things that run in line with recharging the bateery. your best bet would be to take it in to a mechanic.
idk if it helps but maybe check a solonoid switch or the cables?
