CA community colleges & the placement tests?

I'm going to attend Mt.SAC in the fall. I'm a first-time student and I wanted to know if I should take the Chemistry placement test? I was told to take English,Reading and Math but they never mentioned Chemistry.

-By the way my major will be in the medical field. Any information will be helpful..thanks.
 
you can only take the chemistry placement test if you took a year of chemistry in high school and can prove it with your transcript. If that is the case and you think you can pass the test you should definitely take it and avoid the semester of introduction chemistry. you won't miss anything you learned in high school.
