Greetings -- I have an 05 c90. I bought a vista cruise kit and went to put it on and decided I am too dumb. It looks like
A. It wont work with the stock grips
B. The throttle switch Assembly needs moved but I cant figure out how to lossen it
C. The throttle cable will be moved to far out of alignment if I do force an install
Has anyone else installed or ran into these problems. All I really want is some kind of cruise control for those long stretches. Any ideas or suggestions

I haven't mentioned this for a while so I'll throw it out, FWIW.
Some people think it is funny, some stupid and some crazy but I like it and it works.

The $.75 cruise control:
Does you bike have bar end weights?
Is there a little space between the weight and the butt of the throttle grip?

If so, you visit the hardware store and get a LARGE O-ring that will roll onto the end weight snuggly. Continue to roll until it lodges itself in the crack next to the throttle grip and ......shazam.....you have a poor man's cruise control.

Now it might take a little experimentation to find just the right size O ring and you might need to adjust the size of that "slot" a bit by moving the end weight in or out but once you get it adjusted, it works much like the throttle tension drag screw that many bikes had pre-1970 or so.

P.S. Do NOT try to roll the ring out of the slot while moving. It is not necessary and is a dangerous distraction.........especially with gloves on.

P.P.S. If you do this, practice starting/stopping/shifting with the ring in place OFF THE ROAD. It is not difficult but feels WAY different and throws your timing off.

I put a vista cruise on a buddy's C90 without any troubles, so you may simply have the wrong one- they come in different versions to fit different sized handlebars, etc.

The switch box can be moved slightly by loosening the two screws that hold the two halfs together. I don't remember if I had to move it or not. but there were no alignment issues.

Let me (us) know how it works for you.
I never use mine in town but it's really slick on the highway.
Might want to get more than one after you figure out the right size; didn't take long for me to lose the first one I got.
