I have had spinal pain for as long as i can remeraber. Had C5/C6 fused in 1993. After this surgery I repeated all the PT and pain management procedures that I had gone through before surgery. I also have fibromyalgia and arthritis. Have used various pain meRAB, cyrabalta, hydocodine, aleve etc. Cyrabalta works well for depression and fibromyalgia, and am now taking hydocodine 3 times a day to function. After x-rays by my primary care showed advanced degeneration and disc and nerve problems on both sides of the fusion he referred me to a Neurologist who ordered an MRI and flexability x-rays. During our visit with him he discussed surgery and pain management and ordered an EMG as well.He also was honest and said i will never be free of neck pain. I feel he has the skills to direct me in which ever i chose but do plan to have at least a second opinion. I am trying to gain knowledge of both avenues and would be interested in any and all experiences you have gone through.

You said you've seen a neurologist, have you discussed the findings and been seen by an Orthopedic Spine Surgeon and/or Neurosurgeon?

Have you had the MRI and what were the conclusions (listed on the MRI narrative usually under "Impressions:"
