C45 firm

Hi all, I'm new to this forum...it's great!
I' need to repair a siemens C45, which has probably software troubles.
I downloaded FREIA soft, and I have many version of winswup and others.
I've a serial data cable.
But I can't update the new firmware! I receive always errors...perhaps I need some special cable?
Or can someone tell me how to find a good software for the phone to be uploaded?

Try to specify that mistakes receive when trying to accomplish the process. I remind that with the original cable, it will only be able to use the winswup or an updatetool.

Sorry for the delay, I has been without internet connection...
However, the message on the screen when I turn on the cell is "wrong software", then you hear an horrible beep like sound and then the phon turns off.
When I tryed to update different version of the software with winswup, or with ither programs, sometimes I received connecting, or buffering or generic uploading errors.
sometimes it seemed to be ok, but don't.
sometimes the progression bar of the upload process freezed at 99% or 100%.
I don't have an original cable, I have a serial cable sold everywhere, on ebay for example, to download and upload data with the cellphone.

I found FREIA v15 and I set up the correct transfer rate on my serial port.
Can you tell me how to find the last official firmware for C45, the v36?
I looked for it all over the web...but i've not found any working link
