Did anyone stay up to watch it?

As drug addiction films go, this was the best I've scene. I can't believe he made this (2006) after Brokeback (2005) - he looks younger in this????

And he was still making films in Australia, after he hit the big time in Hollywood?

It was such a good film, thought-provoking and intense.
 
I watched it, I thought he was great in it.
Was a very intense film too.. And as far as drug scenes go the cold-turkey bits were extremely gripping.
 
Saw Candy last year, excellent film.

If you like Ledger and haven't seen the film LorRAB of Dogtown, see it because he is fantastic in it. That was the film that made me think he would be fantastic as the Joker when it was announced he was playing the role.
 
Yes, I've only recently seen Heath's films, unfortuntately.

I've now also seen 10 Things, Ned Kelly, and I have Sin Eater, which I haven't watched yet.

He was a brilliant actor, wasn't he?

And to think he was once Sally Fletcher's boyfriend in Home and Away lol!
 
This film is actually based on an Australian book also called Candy by Luke Davies the book is fanstastic.
I read the book first and was happily surprised that the movie was such a good adaption (it is often a rarity!).

As far as i am aware Heath only made one other Australian film Ned Kelly after hitting big in Hollywood - however not surprised he made an exception for this one.

Geoffrey Rush is also in this however I believe Geoffrey Rush still lives in Melbourne.
