I have a 2008 109RT. It's the Blue and White one, and I love it. I have right at 7000 miles on it now.........Like everyone elses, it leans excessively on the side stand. Has anyone thought of a modification to remedy that????????? I'm thinking about a spacer to JB Weld under the stand....Any other ideas????

The only reason I can think of that you'd want a longer kickstand would be that you find it hard to pull the bike off the stand. I can tell you that this bike needs to be hard to get upright because of the weight. You can't just swing this bike around with your legs. You almost need to have both hands on the bar and that's the way it should be. There's too much weight to not be giving the bike your undivided attention when coming off the stand. You can't pull the bike off the stand when standing on the right side and they meant for it to be that way. If you could, it might want to keep on coming and you'll not stop it. I have 32,000 kms on mine now and haven't had an issue yet with the bike leaning too much. I did however have an issue with it being too upright on the stand. When I jumped on it came off the stand too easily and wanted to keep going. That's my reason for leaving it alone.

Always remember. For every mile of highway there's two miles of ditch.

Cheers!

If I did anything to the kickstand, it would be to put a stiffer spring on it. Almost had my bike go over when I parked on a (very) slight hill. Won't do that again.
