C109 Top Speed

I'm a bit of an admitted chicken, but I know that there are some people who have a 109 will HAVE taken her to her limits.

Best I've managed (because I wasn't paying close attention) was 170 kmh.

What's the top speed anyone else has achieved?
 
Yup, gotta watch out for deer. I have an open stretch near home that I have gotten up to 125Mph(about200kph) a few times. This bike does like to go fast!:bluethum:
 
Wow! that's dam fast! Especially for those big ol bikes. I've gotten to 124mph on my c90... Speaking of stupid road crossing animals, about a year ago I smacked a big dog at about 55mph right on the ribs. I didn't go down luckily, but I had to get a new front fender and a rear master cylinder. Scared me pretty good
 
First three gears are rev limited as you're probably aware. 80kph in 1st, 135 in 2nd, 185 in 3rd, rolled to 210 in 4th, and 222 in 5th. Felt like there was quite a bit more to offer in 5th but there was a lot of wind resistance on that big shield and I was running outta road. of course when I tell my buddies it'll do 185kph in 3rd they think I'm full of @#^%. Like grandpractor said, this bike likes to go fast and runs really good when it's working hard.
 
you can get rid of the rev limiter and really boost up your power and response in 1 to 3 with the jsd module. I installed it and ill never go back. also the pciii smoothed it out a bunch.
 
How much do you increase the rpms? Isn't that pretty risky?

Keep in mind that Suzuki speedos are 8-12% optimistic. I'd be pretty surprised to see one do an honest 140. That's Bandit territory!
 
the speed was with my zumo. dont know how many more rpms since dont have a tach. but for 45$ best investment ive made on the bike. the difference from the zumo to the speedo seems to be a constant 7%.
 
My M109R is bone stock. I got 143 indacated, 131 by my GPS. It hit the rev limiter at 6500 rpm. If I installed a JSD it would let it rev to 7500 rpm.

I am not sure if it would pull all the way to 7500 or not. It did pull to 6500 verry eaisly. I think it would go a lot faster.

I'll be geting a JSD before next summer. I'll find out then.

I have pulled 140, by my GPS, out of both my V65 Magna's many times.
