C109 concern

The 109 seems to have this issue at cooler temps when it's first running.

I get to smell an antifreeze smell coming from the bike and when I have checked it, had it up on a lift there are no leaks, I'm not losing or using any additional antifreeze.

Anyone else have this issue?

Thanks

I have not had that issue. but i get a knocking sound in cooler temperatures.
took it to the dealer and they called suzuki. Suzuki told them they have heard of this on the c109s but its not critical and will not cause damage. I think its the clutch springs. but i dont feel like messing with it. maybe during winter.

Hey Don,
I haven't had any issues like that with mine. The coldest that the temps have been here when I have ridden in is right at freezing. But the bike sits in a heated shop at night.

Mine's in a garage as well and we've had similar temps.
It's just for the first 20 mins or so that I have it running.....

Guess I'm going to have to have it checked for a warranty issue.

Thanks

I am in Ohio and have noticed smelling anti-freeze also. Only a few times during the first 20 miles or so and I don't think outside temperature has any bearing on when I smell it. It didn't start until I hit around 3,000 miles (5,000 on it now). It's pretty annoying and service people here don't seem to have a clue or any concerns about it since there are no leaks. I'm not so sure but don't know what else to do other than do nothing.

Please let me know if you find any clues and I will do the same.
