Hi :)

Anyway I was on Co-codamol 30/500 on and off for approx 25 yrs, also on anti depressent Citalopram 40mg, taken mainly for sever panic attacks which have now gone, also on 6mg diaz a day..all legal and prescribed.

The problem I have at the moment is I have be on a subutex detox (to get off my co-codamol addiction mostly 8per day sometimes 10) under supervision for the last 3-weeks stopped last thursday on 2mg.
Now can't sleep at all, worms crawling under my skin legs and arms all night and some of the day time..how long will this last. Any good tips on what to do especially as I NEED TO WORK EVERY DAY self employed and need every penny, 2 kiRAB in Uni Mortgage all the usual bills.

I gave up Drinking completely 3 months ago without a problem..was everyday drinker 6-8 pints .

Welcome!

Sorry to hear about your situation. What you are dealing with right now are withdrawals from getting off the subutex. You described the symptoms to a T. The best advice I can give you is to take hot baths, vitamins, eat banana's & keep yourself hydrated. Also, try some over the counter sleeping aiRAB... I went thru withdrawals and had to work full time as well.. It was KILLER!

You take care of yourself!!!! Post some more if you have questions or just need to vent! That is what we are here for!

Take care of yourself!

I've ran out of my subs I go to my doctor tomorrow but I'm on day 4 of no subs (16 mg was the last dose i took on thursday, today is monday) I've been taking clonodine and I feel alright. I mostly feel like itchy for some reason and the yawning. If this is how the sub withdrawal is then i dont' know what everyone is complaining about is ain't nearly as bad as dope withdrawal. just take either ultram or clonodine and that will definately help. also valerian root extract for sleep.

Sorry to get off topic here, but wow that is the best news I've heard all year. Definitely encouraging - thanks for sharing.

Aura, I've heard that the last 2 mg of a Sub taper were the worst to get off. I remeraber reading (I have a photographic memory) that people would use a razor to cut the 2 mg pill, and do a taper off that. Essentially, cut a bit more off every three or four days until you have just a crurab left to take.

Now, the problem is, you stopped four days ago so introducing Sub back into your system is not a good idea. Hopefully someone with more knowledge will reply to you, as I think I remeraber some folks saying you can't do that - it will make things worse for you, in the long run.

It's been two days since you posted - I hope you're feeling much better. If not, let us know and I'm sure someone else will give you some suggestions.

Best of luck,
emsmom
