This is kind of long, but thank you to those who respond...
I'm a student in high school. Typically, I've been in "normal" courses or "lower leveled courses" throughout my high school career. I'm now a junior. My sophomore year US I history teacher greatly inspired me in the field of history -- I got straight A's in his class. Typically, I've been a B/C student all my life. I feel like I'm "making a comeback," now, as I'm now getting A's and B's. My GPA is 3.3 and my rank is set in about the middle of my class. I decided to take a risk this year and take Advanced Placement US History II - I've never taken an AP or honors course before. I thought I would not only enjoy it, but that it would help me with college a lot. I figured I'd learn a lot more. Now as I'm nearly two months into the class, I see how hard the class really is. I can keep up with the work, but my current grade scares me -- it's a C+, which will probably be a C by tomorrow. I'm doing the work, but really struggling to do well. I do want a challenge and the opportunity to learn more than I normally would, but I also don't want this class to reflect badly for college...
So my question is this: if I wind up getting a C in this class, assuming my school acknowledges the course as the hardest it offers, how would that reflect for college admissions in my case, if I want to major in history?
