My seat shipped within the 7-10 day window, hell I had it by the 10th day (shipped Mon and I got it Wed picked it up Thur). Looked beautifull and extremely well packed. Instead of waiting for the weekend I decided to install it even though I couldnt ride due to the snow. I got the strap and brackets off, old seat came off no problem too. But after installing the T-bar I just couldnt figure out how the heck I was supposed to install the new seat. The instructions said to bend or raise the bar sticking out of the seat for a snugger or looser fit. My stock seat didnt have this bar. So after making sure I wasnt on drugs I snapped quite a few pictures and emailed them to Chuck. Turns out I was shipped a seat for a 97-07.
Chuck was quite appologetic and moved my order to the top of the list. it was shipped out the following Mon and again I recieved it on Wed. I was waiting to get the send it back and we will get the right one out to you line but Chuck did me great, he sent UPS shipping tags with the new seat for postage paid return of the improper seat. The new seat slipped on like a greased owl sheat. Looked beautifull, I even installed the pillion pad and got Momma on the back. She said that this was way more comfortable than the stock little dove tail on the SG seat.
I was worried about the suction cups on the passenger pad but am not anylonger. there is a leather wrapped tab on the front that slides under the tbar rear mount of the solo seat to keep it from lifting up and it screws down in the back. The suction cups are stricly to distribute weight and keep dammage off the fender.
Needles to say, Chuck and the folks at C&C run a top notch business and have earned a few notches in my book.
I know I promised pictures but due to the snow I havnt pulled the bike out yet, but might this weekend, just have to tip toe around some snowy patches on the road.
