Indeed. That was the best part of the episode for me. Just the fact that Stan wasn't the antagonist, learning that his hard core conservative values keep him stubborn to new possibilities. You know, like in most of the other episodes. In fact, he teaches Francine a lesson this time. Really, a nice role reversal. Not the funniest of the episodes, but a nice structure to it. So overall a very good episode.
I did like the random subplot about Hayley and Klaus daring each other with stupid dares, till at the end, hayley was the Captain from the Love Boat, and Klaus was in Jello. And Steve was more of a running gag than a subplot, at least to me.
And loved Patton Oswalt's extremely breif cameo as the ticket seller.
