I'm obviously bored out of my mind today, sorry for all teh questions >_<

This survey only applies to anime/manga lovers ;D

Many people claim to be ‘otaku’, but in my opinion some of them are just crazy fans and aren’t really otaku. I wouldn’t even call myself an otaku O__O

So I want your opinions on it with this survey :)


1. Are you an avid manga reader OR anime watcher? Or both? Neither?

2. In your opinion, what’s the difference between >> those who enjoy anime/manga << and >> an OTAKU <<

3. Would you consider yourself to be an otaku?

4. If YES to 3, why would you call yourself an otaku? If NO, why not?

5. How important is anime to you? Like where does it fall on your priority list?

1. More anime than manga, but i do both
2. An OTAKU is well overboard, having a Naruto blanket and a Bleach lunchbox and a Death Note hoodie and Negima! sneakers and a Maburaho throw rug and a Shinichi Mechazawa plushie.
3. Nope. But I am an arielholic
4. I keep things in perspective (although that Shinichi Mechazawa plushie is looking kinda cute.....)
5. It is in the Top 20, but kept in proper perspective

RANDOM: Holy jumping jellyfish, I'm melting!

BONUS: Jimmy Kudo ("Case Closed"), but as a genius. For prodigy, that falls to Chiyo-chan from "Azumanga Daioh"

I'm mostly a manga reader. :) I do watch anime, but manga is usually the original versions on animes.

Ummm... if you approach it literally, otaku in Japanese who have obsessive interests, whether or not they love anime or not. An anime/manga fan is generally a like an obsessive trait of an otaku,

/Yes/

4. If YES to 3, why would you call yourself an otaku? If NO, why not?
I'd say yes. I am obsessive with anime and manga, and sometimes Japanese culture.

5. How important is anime to you? Like where does it fall on your priority list?
Anime..... not exactly /important/ but I'd say it's like a daily thing for me. It would fall somewhat around #5 or #6
