I have formatted my sd card as FAT32, renamed the image file to DREAIMG.NBH,
When the boot loader starts, I see the gray screen with "Loading" displayed for a split second. Then "No image file!" displays for a split second, then to the multi-colored screen. I have downloaded the file from 3 different sources, all with the same result.

I have a US version G1

No, if you upgrade to latest release, you will lose what you have done.

if you want an updated phone you will not get this feature.

@Maratello

I can assure u that u r doing something wrong, Try the procedure again, but this time carefully type the command...

Good Luck

setprop persist.service.adb.enable 1

I have typed this for almost 30 times already and still i always get a blank on the "List of devices attached." what should I do? I already installed the drivers for my G1.

Worked 100%...

To me the hardest part was paying attention and following instructions. Once I accomplised that everything was easy : )

Remember Pay attention to detail

- It only took me about 3 plus hours to figure it out

- Sleep is Over Rated : )

I've used this method with no problems at all. Thanks for the help.
However, I wanted to upgrade to cupcake so I got JF v1.51. Now when I reach the activation screen, I can open wifi settings but it always fails to connect to my home network.
I'll test again with the older image used here to see if the problem is actually with cupcake. But if yes, how can we upgrade ?
