and it arrived today. Ten days including shipping. BTW, tell 'em you are a HDForums member and they give you free shipping.

Installed the Bagger Brace today. What a fine piece of machine work, and excellent instructions! It is truly a quality piece, and it is impossible to assemble incorrectly. EVERYTHING is included except LocTite, even zip ties in case you need to move some that are already there.

Took longer 'cuz I wanted to install one of those HF wheel chocks on my HF lift - which required moving stuff to access the lift, locating drill bits etc. Made the lift MUCH more usuable. Ride the bike on, get off and it stays upright and stable. Tied it down, lifted the bike, and started cleaning.

If you decide to do one of these, do yourself a favor - pressure wash the back half of the pan and the crossmember. I wished I had.....

The install itself was easy - just follow the directions. Took it for a quick spin, and can feel the difference right away, soon as I hit the turn at the foot of the drive. The Road Glide feels more solid and sure-footed. I look forward to wringing it out, hope to do so tomorrow.

Guy's Guy's come on these are baggers not crotch rockets! Some have said this brace doesn't completly remove this wobble but helps. Well I don't have any wobble that I can tell of, so if this brace is only gonna improve a little on a little wobble ??????? I just cant see it. I love my bike I had a Wing before and it surely had a wobble and there was a thread started on a honda forum that got everyone wanting to spend something like 1500.00 and it did only a little. Forget it! I'll ride mine like a sane person, and continue enjoying my stock Harley with miles of smiles.

Wow, enjoy the stock Harley. It is a wonderful bike and no doubt a lot of fun, but try a couple of perfomance mods and then some looks, and it will make the ride that much more enjoyable. Some folks ride because they just simply like to ride; other ride because they love to tinker and ride... all is good. As for me the tinkering keeps me sane, put something on-- take it off-- sell it on ebay put something else on and say... wow, that really changes the look or the ride...

To each his or her own. Enjoy what you enjoy.

I USED to agree with you. I felt a little instability in fast sweepers, and hated some sections of freeway where the rain grooves induced wobble. I was careful with the throttle in curves, and never lost control, but sometimes I had a pucker moment. After reading the posts here, I began to recognize that there MIGHT be a simple way to make my ride both smoother and safer - if, indeed, I was experiencing "wobble".

OK, $289 to improve my $20k motorcycle's handling and safety - maybe. Decided to give it a try, and placed the order. Installed this beautifully machined, straightforward mod myself (a rare thing for me) yesterday and took it on a familiar mountain freeway today. This road is routinely driven at 70-90mph by the cagers, and has some wicked rain grooves in sections. I've ridden it enough to be very familiar with how my bike behaves on it......rode it just a week ago.

Today was a whole different experience - it was like a new bike, a '09! The instability was gone, period. I even tried to induce it to no avail. The bike is substantially better. No more wobble - even running 20 mph faster than before. The bike holds it's line in turns even with sudden, severe throttle changes. The "on rails" description is true.

Was it worth $289 and a hour's time? ABSOLUTELY. To me, it was a bargain. I believe it makes my bike safer, and it certainly makes it less stressful in the turns. I wholeheartedly recommend this product, even if you (like me) are not UNhappy with the stock setup. IT WILL MAKE A NOTICEABLE IMPROVEMENT.
