Buying LEXUS IS300 on EBAY ?

I'm in highschool and seeking for my first car.
I was thinking of getting 2001 Lexus IS300 used one 70,000 for $5200
on Ebay. Is there any risk of buying auto from ebay? ANd Is LExus motor parts cheap? Like does Lexus use same motor parts as Toyota?
Since this is my first time buying car, it is very frustrating. Please help me..Thank you:)
 
Yes Lexus cars use many parts from the Toyota parts bin. They are good cars. But I hope you know the law. You have to be 18 to own a car. Plus, don't buy any car if you can't drive out & see it. That's the risk you'll take if you don't.
 
Lexus ENGINE parts ARE moderate in price. I wouldn't trust buying a car off ebay. But if you do, it's worth getting it's Carfax report. www.carfax.com When I was younger and bought used cars, the Carfax report was a very good aid in helping me decide.
