Buying japanese video games for the ps3?

Hey folks whats up, so I've been reading that japanese video games can work on north american ps3 consoles the 2 major probs that one o is accept an x is cancel an of course the obvious language barrier those aside where does one go to even purchase one if interested? like ebay or something? do they have like a japanese version of gamestop or something where u might find a used version of a ps3 game instead of a new one lol, has any one ever bought one? if you know then please let me know ^^
