Has anyone tried buying a phone like N73 ($429) from Nseries.com? It looks like Nokia's official site, but just wondering if anyone has tried buying a phone from there before.

I bought the n73 from there late Thursday afternoon and got free 2day shipping. I got my tracking number Friday and my phone is expected to be here tomorrow!

I'm in CA so yes. The total was...

$429.99 Nokia N73 (Unlocked)

Yep! Arrived right on time!! I haven't had to contact Nokia's customer service for any reason so I'm not sure how they will be when/if I ever do need them. Hopefully the extra $20 I payed (importgsm was 20 bucks cheaper) will be worth it. The warranty is the typical limited one year warranty. It does not cover neglect or theft. Only if there is something wrong with the device. So far, I've had no problems whatsoever. I was also told (and the invoice confirmed it) that I have 7 days to return the phone for a full refund as long as the phone has 30mins or less of call time on it. And I have 30 days to return for an exchange if I decide I don't like it but I think it has to have less than 30mins on it too and well, I find that impossible! So I doubt I will be exchanging it for anything else. Oh! BTW, Nokia is partnered up with LetsTalk and that's who the phone came from and who charged my credit card - not nokia themselves. Just FYI.

As for the phone itself, compared to the 6682 which is what I had, it feels and looks MUCH smaller!! I saw several pics next to each other but it looked almost the same, but looking at them both side by side and holding each one in each hand, I have to say that the 6682 has a much better build. The screen on the n73 and the camera is obviously a lot better but the build of it, well, I was disappointed in it. And the number pad is tiny and very plastic! Oh well. Other than that, I do LOVE the phone. And I will be keeping it. The joystick takes a bit of getting used to (I'd never used a phone with one) but it hasn't caused me any problems. And after a week of using it, the build of it doesn't bother me much (unless I grab my 6682 and then it reminds me all over again how much cheaper this build feels, lol). If I remember correctly, someone here posted that the Nokia USA build felt more solid than the imported one but I'd need to doublecheck that. The call quality is great (quad-band ofcourse) and I haven't had any crashing issues or anything of the sort. I've installed all of my apps with no problem (except for Calcium calculator). So so far so good. And I've already gotten a few ooh's and aah's from other people in my office!

Also, I have cingular and I was able to just pop-in my sim card and all the settings were there. Even the messaging and web/media net settings so I didn't have to mess with that at all. I haven't tried to upgrade the firmware as of yet since it's been running fine so far but I might try in a few days. I won't be switching it to IE or ME though because I really don't want to void the warranty. Same with the casings.

I ordered the plum/silver as that's the only one they have in stock from what I hear though if you call and ask what colors they have available, you may get different answers (I did). If they say "silver" that means they don't know! They only have a picture to look at or something and they can't see the back (that's what the rep that I ordered from said). I kinda wish I had the pink one now. But oh well, maybe I'll change the housing once my warranty expires (if I can wait that long). The plum is clean and sophisticated but I'm more of a girlie girl and I would LOVE the pink now.

Anywhooo... like I said, so far so good. The ordering and receiving process went smoothly and I hope if I ever need their customer service and/or repair that it will go just as smoothly but until then I won't know for sure. Here's to hoping!! So on that note, yes, I recommend them.
