buying first bike, please help!!?

I need a solid hybrid or road bike to commute 15 km everyday. I've just started looking and realized that there aren't that many used bikes available right now, so I'm left with mid-priced new ones... here's what I've looked at:
Rocky Mountain Metro 5
Miele Verona
or a devinci
Do any of you have one of these? Or do you know how these brands compare to each other? I've done lots of store and online looking, but I'd just like some real "owner" reviews.

Don'tt have any of those brands, I have two trek, oneChromemMollyy frame and one carbon, both great bikes.
Good decision on a hybrid for you though,allott of people overlook howversatilee they are.
