I Am 17, And Weigh 95kg, I Am Not Fat, I Just Have Some Big Muscles. Now I Have Only A Chance To Choose Any Motorcycle I Want! I Like The Ducati 696 So Much, And It Is The Smallest Ducati Out, I Live In Egypt Where There Is No Motorcycle Saftey Course Or Test Rides Or Even 1 Ducati ( Like 4 In Whole Egypt)

-My Question Is: Is It Good For Me? I Think I Am Going To Be Very Carefull, And I Hate Too Much Speed In Small Areas, So I Won't Go Fast. And I Have 0 Experience, So I Am Going To Learn First On Those 500$ Chinese Bikes... Is This Good?

Man you need to be careful on that Ducati they're fast. I think it's not a good idea to learn on that bike. You differently need to start on a smaller bike like a 250 Kawasaki or Honda. Good luck man!

a ducati is more of an enthusiasts bike , i would not recommend a 600 for a first bike . as there is no safety course in your country i could see some problems you will face . get a 250 for a few years experience then get the bigger bike

Regardless of the power or your experience, do you think it would be a good idea to buy an exotic Italian motorbike in a country that would have no dealerships for spare parts or service?

If something went wrong, who would fix it?

buy a 250cc bike & learn to ride for at least two years.....

there's no MC safety course so your on your own... & there's a lot to learn...

bikes steer different to cars.. counter-steering.. look it up on the net..

the front brake is your best friend... learn to use it.. & use it hard... you may fall off a few times while your learning to use it properly... but that doesn't hurt like hitting a car or truck..

in 2 years time ... move up to a 650cc twin cylinder bike... then a year later a 4 cylinder 600cc bike.. then a year later look at the DUCATI...

SO.. to be safe the DUCATI is (6.) ..SIX years away..

A Ducati 696 is a way too light and powerful bike to begin on. (A 696 is 355lb with a 696cc engine) My advice would be to start off on a GSX-R600 (359 lbs/599cc), or a Yamaha R6 (417 lb/599cc). But BEWARE: These bikes are also powerful, but they are not quite as powerful as a 696. If you take your time on the bikes I listed, and don't do anything stupid, then you'll do great. Don't start off on a 250cc engine because you'll end up wanting to sell it a year or two after you get it because you are comfortable on a bike, and it's no longer powerful enough. Remember, you want this to be your FIRST bike, and not your LAST.
