I just purchased a 2004 toyota tundra with 33,000 miles on it. The dealer tryed to sell me a CNA extended warranty 4/48,000 for an increase of $50 per month on a 5 year loan. I negotiated down to $33 per month which was just under $2,000 for the extended warranty.
Is this a good price for a 2004 with 33,000 miles? I know the dealers make a huge profit on these. Could I find good coverage cheaper? I have 30 days to cancel. Being that the truck is almost 7 years old I don't think I did too bad right?
Welp, let me say that what led me to get this truck is the fact that Ford does not recall anything.. At least toyota takes care of there mistakes/problems for the most part. Every manufacturer has some problems. I owned a 1980 toyota pickup, then a 99 tacoma, then a 2005 prerunner tacoma, and currently own a toyota highlander... I have never been to the shop for a repair or had any problems whatsoever on any of my toyotas. I purchased an 04 ford f150 with 30,000 miles on it. Very cheap interiar was falling apart, at 75,000 on the dot as if it were programed to do so, I got a transmission failer... shortly later had two broken window regulators within 6 days of each other, every single person I have asked with an 04/05 f150 has replaced an average of 3 window regulators (check the NHTSA website, nearly 900 complaints for window regulator on an 04), The day before I traded this truck in I found out that ford used defective spark plugs (90% of the plugs break apart trying to remove, ford
