Buying an unlocked BB storm 9530 with existing data plan.?

Ok so I am currently on an At&t contract and about half way through when my Palm Pre breaks. I am planning on buying a BB Storm 9530 off Ebay. The thing is that I already have a $15/mo generic data plan on the contract. Would putting my SIM card in the BB apply to that plan or would I have to upgrade to the $30/mo or the BB plan?
