be nervous? "Buying a Scion TC, nervously waiting response from Toyota on loan approval. Should I be nervous?"
The situation is this: Some drunk dirt-bag ran in to my car and my insurance classified it as totaled, unrepairable. I had only Liability, and in my state (CA) that doesn't cover hit-and-runs, which this turned out to be. (Couldn't get the guy's license plate).
I need a car for work, I'm a web-developer making 42k a year, with a credit score of 681 (according to Toyota), but I don't have the money for a down payment
Why? Because I'm paying off my two final credit-card debts this month.
So I need a co-signer.
Unfortunately, I need a car ASAP, one with a good trade-in-value and something not too expensive. Otherwise, I would've waited a month and got a 2-3k down payment.
So my Mother decided to be a co-signer, who unfortunately has lower credit than I do (655). She makes 48k a year and pays 250 for rent. She's also got two credit card debts which will be paid off by mid-December of this year.
Now, we applied for the loan for a Toyota Scion TC and my APR turned out to be 8.75. Unfortunately, the bank was unavailable during the weekend to get a loan approved, so we have to wait until Tuesday (the latest).
Does anyone have a prediction on whether or not I'll get approved? The anticipation's making me a nervous wreck. Any input or comment is welcomed.
