Buying a new/used car but want it to be similar to a 1998 Jeep Cherokee Sport?

I currently have a 1998 Jeep Cherokee Sport and I love it, inside and out. The problem is that it is now 11 years old, and although it has been great to me, I'm looking to find another sturdy car that will last me another 5-10 years. I do not feel that putting the repairs into my current Jeep is worth it. The problem is: I am very attached. I have a very hard time adjusting to newer models and am looking for a "twin" car. Are there any other Jeep models that run similar/have the same feel?
 
Your style Jeep Cherokee was built through 2001 and was then replaced by the Jeep Liberty which is a different platform, but also similar in many ways.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee is more luxurious but similar in size and function to your Cherokee.

I like the older Cherokees myself, but nothing will completely replace that "comfortable" feeling you have with a trusty friend like yours.

If you truly love your '98 Cherokee it might be cheaper in the long run to fix it up rather than spend a significant amount of money on a newer vehicle...IMHO.
