I have just put down a deposit on a new CRV with a Honda dealership but have been told that there are no new cars available in the UK, fine i say i'll wait for the next batch off the ship, however i'm told by the dealership that this is not how it works & that i'd have to either renegotiate my deal or take back my deposit as my deal took into account a deal in September with them basically saying i wont get a car in September & therefore they can't agree to the deal..Now is this right? I have gone into a dealer to buy a brand new car, negotiated a deal, did the finance & deposit before they then said 2days later ohh we can't find you a Automatic CRV in Silver but here's 1 in Grey take it or leave it. I tried explaining this is not my fault but theirs but they are not shifting, as far as i'm concerned i've ordered & committed to a price for a new CRV... is what they are saying legal? If i bought a Fridge freezer from Curry's in a sale in Jan for £300 but it never arrived until Feb which was after the sale had finished i don't think i would get a call from Curry's asking for the difference so why would buying a brand new car be any different? Any thoughts much appreciated.
