Buying a Ducati is like getting a tattoo...

I was a BMW man until my wife bought a Monster 696. Now my BMW's sit collecting dust in the corner of the garage and my wife complains she can never get a shot of her bike

Yeah, the sound of a Ducati is something magical, but the handling, power delivery and the fact that it's red all help for me. Despite being used to much bigger, more powerful bikes, I find the little 696 has more "grin factor".

Guess I'll have to go get my own.....anyone want to buy a BMW?

To add to that.. I just got back from Miami Beach and the Keys. I was on Collins Ave near Ocean Drive when I heard that familiar sound. Down the street came a red 1198 with Termis and a Tricolore following. Sounded amazing between the old deco buildings and sad I was not on one myself.

I gotta admit, I only see windows going up when I'm out and about in traffic.... nothing better than putting the Termi's alongside some twits window at 4-5k rpm as they drive along talking on their phone....

I dont know how loud my bike is, but I did have a neighbor 4 doors up ask me not to warm it up for so long last winter lol
