My cousin just bought a car rom a private seller. He told him that he lost the pink slip. He called the DMV and was told that the car was clean. He went today to register it and was told that he cannot get the title because it has a lien on it. Now the seller disconnected his phone and he has no way o reaching him. What exactly does this mean, was he scammed? Is there anyway he can contact the lien holder?
