Buying a car to mod. Grand AM GT Or HONDA CIVIC?

Hello all, I just sold my suv and I want to buy a car to mod. I was thinking either a Grand am GT coupe or a Honda Civic coupe. I'm leaning towards the civic, but I dont know what a good year is and stuff. well which one should I get ?
 
Personally, I Dont Like The Idea Of Taking A Car Like That And Modding It, I Like To Use Big Family Sedans And Turn Em Into Sleepers. But I Would Go With The Grand AM. Parts Are Cheaper Depending Where You Go, And If Done Right, You Can Win Lots Of Money In Races As A Car People Would Think Is An Underdog.
