I'm 17 years old and will be getting my license in a few months. I've been looking at a few different cars and a '95-'99 mitsubishi eclipse was on the list. I came across someone in my area with a clean '96 eclipse with 156k miles, also with additions like 17" black rims, new stereo/mp3 player, etc. They have it for $900 because it needs a new transmission. I was wondering if anyone thought it might be an ok idea to buy the car right now, and then when I get my license I can have a new transmission installed?
