I live in New Jersey, and I am buying a car from a private seller. He told me that he can not find the title of his car, and that he will need to go down to the DMV to obtain a duplicate title. How long does it take to get this duplicate title? Is it possible to have it the same day he applies for it? I really need this car to commute back and forth to college, and if the title takes long to arrive I won't have any way of getting to my college, back home, etc.. Please help me, I appreciate any help that you can give me!!! Thank you all!
