Buying a bar/restaurant with liquor license. ?

Is the transfer of a liquor license difficult? This would be OHIO, also
if we put a drive thru in the building would we have to have a seperate license than the carryout license we already have?

One more thing. The owner told us that we could extend our license to connecting lots that we own so the drive could exit through there. Do you need a lisence for a driveway that is for the drive thru exit? There is an alley right next to the bar which would be the drive thru but it ends at the back of the building and we would make it go to the road behind.
 
The matter of the liquor license is a state by state thing, so I can't help with that. I do think that in CT at least you can't transfer it because everytime a business gets sold I always see the sign outside about the hearing for the liquor license.

The part about the driveway is a specific question that you will have to ask your local (or county) zoning board. Zoning law varies widely from one place to another, and even from one part of town to another. There is no way someone on the internet can tell you if your driveway can be extended or moved in the way you are describing.
