Buying 1991 honda civic dx sedan ?

I am buying 1991 honda civic dx sedan with automatic transmission and ran around 72k miles.. i am getting this from a person in nj who said he bought the car from an old lad before few months and after tat he changed battery and radiator.. I am paying $1750 for this car.. I am not sure if this car really worth it.. i know this is going to be an old car so i can expect to see minor problems.. can any one suggest me what are the problems that can be seen with the car and does this car have any serious problem to fix more than $1000..
 
72K on a 1991 car ain't that many mile so it might be worth it and if its true that he bought it from an elder person its probably a good car most older ppl keep up with maintenance, all mechanical thing break at some point from normal tear and wear so good luck.

you might have a mechanic look at it before you purchase it, if its a good car the owner shouldn't have a problem with that again good luck.
