Buy a '05 Ford Focus or '06 Suzuki Reno?

The Focus drove like new but had 102k miles on it.

The Reno only had 29k miles but I could feel some SLIGHT catching on 2nd gear only.

The Focus had leather interior, a sunroof, heated seats, and was pleasant to drive.

The Reno had no special options, but my husband liked riding passenger in it better.

I am worried that the Focus is getting high on miles, but the Reno has had a fender-bender and I can feel the slight catch in 2nd gear. Which should I be more worried about?

They are both in the same price range and essentially the same car. I am on the fence even though my husband wants the one with less miles on it. I know that the Ford would probably be easier to sell in the long run because of its name, but the Suzuki might still have a higher resale value in the long run because of such low miles.

I want to get the best deal for my money, so please let me know what you think!!!!!

Also, I just wanted to clarify that the Reno's accident report did not mention the airbags deploying or anything major.
I should also add that they are both manual transmission (stick-shift) cars.

I previously owned a Geo Metro with high miles on it and both 1st and 2nd gears had problems. Once I got used to the shifting issues (not down-shifting into 1st gear unless I jiggled it into the sweet spot), it never gave me any problems. I gave the car to my sister and it just reached 200k miles, not perfect but still pumping along. With auto transmissions, a bad one will go out more quickly and be a much jerkier ride. With a stick, if you know how to drive it right, it should last almost forever right? So should I be more forgiving of a high mileage engine, or an iffy clutch? As far as I could tell the Focus drove like a brand-new car and all the electrical stuff worked with no issues. I do want to shop more, but it's hard finding a used manual trans that hasn't been beat up!
