Button Settings default after HotSync

I have my change two of the bottom buttons to show my world clock and memo pad - through the preferences. But every time I do a hotsync, these two buttons change back to the default settings.

Does anyone have any idea, how to work around this?

My guess is you have the conduit set for System incorrectly. Go to Hot Sync icon in the system tray on your PC and click on it and then choose "custom" and then scroll to where you see "backup" or "system".

It should be set to Handheld overwrites desktop but I'll bet it's set to desktop overwrites handheld. Change it to Handheld overwrites Desktop.

If this isn't the case - post your hot sync log and advise either way.
 
BTW, I've been known to accept beer as payment for helping someone out. ;)

This is for all of the other readers of this thread: You almost never want to have the backup conduit set where the desktop overwrites the handheld.....in fact, the only time I could see where this would be beneficial is where you were restoring a hard reset device. Where the hard reset was caused by a none software issue.

The backup/system conduit should almost always be set where the Handheld overwrites the desktop. :)
