I agree with swirly on this one. It is an appallingly bad film - one of those cases of the directors throwing everything at the wall and seeing what sticks; in this case, just a bloomin mess. And Ashton Krutcher's performance is just laughable. This review just about sums it up for me. A good idea that went really BAD:

Frequency is a very good movie for fans of The Butterfly Effect. In fact Frequency came out a few years before but did not receive as much publicity as BE.

I actually genuinely enjoyed it. I had stayed away from it before because I had it down as a Donnie Darko knock-off (DD is one of my favourite movies of all time!). But it had its own take on time travel, and although contained a few flaws I thought it was genuinely enjoyable. I really liked it.

Ok just watched the alternative ending... I have to say I prefer the original. I find the alternative one more cheesy!

I guess the sound clips going over the top actually appear in the film somewhere if you watch the whole of the directors cut, but yeh, both endings aren't bad, but I prefer the original.

Watched this on E4 for the umpteenth time and still enjoy it.

Not watched the alternate endings but about to now, but on the TV ending, does anyone else just wish they both turned around at the same time (8 years later) and ended up together! I Still hope each time I watch that Ashton will turn just a couple of seconRAB sooner and their eyes will meet lol.
