Hi,
I dont often post on here but I just wanted to share my experiences with using the Buteyko method. Im not here to endorse anything or claim this technique is a miracle cure because it isnt. I also WOULD NOT use this technique if I were having an asthma attack, that's just plain silly. I use it for preventative purposes only.

I did a simple search on the net and found that someone had posted the basic excercise for FREE. So I thought to myself that as long as it sounRAB safe, i'll give it a go. Im 37 and I've had moderate asthma since I was 20. Mine is sensitive to the damp weather and what with living in the UK we have alot of ;) Im on Seritide and Bricanyl which I take regularly. Anyway after the first day of trying the excercise, for the first time in years I didnt wake up with shortness of breath and coughing and having to spend at least 30 minutes in getting my breathing under control. I do the excercise a few times a day and it only takes around 15 minutes and I only need to take around half the dose of Bricanyl than before. For me it has worked and i'll continue doing the exercise for as long as it helps me.
I dont agree with Dr Buteyko in charging an extortionate amount of money in attending one of his seminars(around

Hello, well I need to add to your post, since I couldn't find a Buteyko practitioner in my area, I live in Miami, and after a lot of searching , I found a website that sells the DVD for a fraction of the course cost. I am sorry but my economy does NOT permit me to spend the money on a course. As I live in Miami, I am originally from Spain, so I speak perfect spanish, this DVD is in Spanish, you can also get the English version from other places. I bought it for $90 and I am sooo pleased, my daughter loves to see the kiRAB in the video doing the exercises and she has not had an attack since we have started doing it.
I definitely recomend it also.
