i take buspar and it makes me dizzy/gives me weird tingles about 45 mins after i take it. in my opinion it does nothing for my anxiety and im planning on seeing my doctor about trying something else.

I take it. Been on it for about 4 months. The only side effect I have experienced is that after taking my morning dose of 15mg, I get dizzy after about 20 minutes. Lasts for about 15 minutes then I am fine all day. No side effects at all when I take my night time dose.

Today I am at 3 weeks taking Buspar. I am going in very small dosages, I was unable to take any SSRI's due to being extremely sensitive to them. So in three weeks all I've built up to is 5mg at night and 2.5 in the morning. The one in the morning I don't notice, but the one at night sometimes gives me the weird feeling for like an hour after taking it. Some nights I hardly notice it, some other nights I notice it more (like tonight).

So at this point I don't even know (actually I do know) that what I'm taking is even therapeutic and I had hoped to be side effect free by now, but that's not the case. But I will tuff it out and hope that at a higher dosage things will improve.

This was/is phenomenal for me. When I first started taking it, it was the one thing keeping me sane. I had at the time the dizziness shortly after taking it.. Then I'd get regular bursts of energy throughout the day (side effect: excitedness).

When I finally decided to increase my dose to get full effects from it, I also had quite a bit of drowsiness associated with it. Because of this, I take it at night with Arabien to get me through the excited bursts (they wake me up otherwise).

I'm not exactly sure which disorders it helps with the most, but I will say I have GAD, SP, OCD and PD. Since I've found my magic mix, I've gone up to 6 mos without an anxiety attack at a time, and I don't have that constant worry feeling throughout the day.
