My friends wife is having daycare at her home. Total area of home is 1500 sqft and she is using 750 sqft (i.e. 50%) for 12 hours everyday. Out of 750 sft , 300 sqft she is exclusively using for Daycare .
I have below questions .
1)Can she take advantage of depreciate her home in her 1009 tax return as she is having home day care and if yes which form need to use in Taxact to get maximum return.
I know she needs to file schedule C/SE for her loss and profit.
She started her home daycare in 2008 and house was build in 1999.
