Business trip to Cali. Oh law.

Let me start this off by describing exactly who will be going with me.

Jeff - My superior
Radical dude. Goes to ProgPower every year. We can carry on great conversations about music and ways to torture the agents that won't do business with us.

HOWEVER, he is the most opinionated conservative that I have ever come across. He will bring up topics that I won't even touch with anyone, really. I'm afraid to tell him how I really feel about certain political issues. To hold these things back, makes my brain seethe. Everyone knows that the topic of religion and/or politics should normally be avoided at all costs.

Brian - My newly appointed co-worker
I used to really like this guy. Computer/gaming nerd like myself and somewhat liberal. Things have changed. He had a crush on me, but realized that it would never happen for him. He turned into a royal asshole after coming to this realization.

This guy works for another division within the company, but his cubicle is across the way from me. He has to make a few cold calls a day. When he hangs up with someone, after a rejection, he says things like, "Stupid fucking bitch!" or "Fucking asshole!", ect. While this was funny at first, the negativity starts to wear on you.

Katherine (see below) has decided to hire him into MY division. Fuuuuck.

He's everything I hate in a human. This guy read "Witchcraft For Dummies", and now considers himself Wiccan. He likes to argue for the sake or arguing. Even if he has formerly agreed with me about the same subject. After one of our arguments (on the SUV epidemic), he felt the need to throw in, "And that whole vegetarian thing. Shake head." WTF?! Who the fuck are YOU? Totally uncalled for. I hate you and I want you to die, you judgmental piece of SHIT.

Katherine (who's not actually going, but I hate her too) - My immediate boss.
She actually lives and works about an hour away, so I don't have to see her often.

Snooty fucking bitch. Gives me dirty looks because I wear tshirts to work (after she TOLD me that I could). She told me that I had a low self-esteem (she's only met me five times), and that if I wore nicer clothes I would feel better about myself. You don't even know me, bitch! She also said that what I wear comes across over the phone. I cannot afford nice clothes right now and she doesn't seem to grasp that concept. She just spent two weeks in Greece. I hate you and your dirty looks, you leathery old hag.

Anyways, it's going to be torture, hanging around Jeff and Brian for three days. I've never been to Cali, and I'm sure that my first trip will be teh suck.:thumbsdn:

Would be fucking awesome. I'm going to need to get away from those fucks. Thinking about going and getting lost in San Fran! :D:thumbsup:

Everyone I know, tells me that California is the place I should live. I would fit in perfectly. Sigh.

There's a great seafood and steak house right on fisherman's warf. I wish I remembered the name of it cause there are many of them. But most of them have good food or they won't last long.

You should also take a walk up to China Town.

.....get some Rice-a-Roni. It's the San Francisco treat.

Depending on how late your business meetings last, you could consider using public transportation (Petaluma Transit and BART) to visit San Francisco during the time you're there. Just getting away from the unpleasant co-workers can help put things in perspective.

There is so much to do in San Francisco - it's a delightful place to visit. Restaurants that are memorable, including Scoma's, which is just down the street a bit from Fisherman's Wharf, North Beach and all that fine Italian food, Chinatown, etc. Lots of bars and taverns serving up some great Irish coffee, bookstores that will break your travel budget, helping to push the cable car around at the end of the line, having tea in Golden Gate park, and so on. You could try something different each night and never get bored.

See if you can extend the trip a couple of days, so you can stay over on a weekend, and still have the company pay for your return flight. Have fun!

Well, I'm leaving tomorrow morning.

It doesn't look I'll be able to get away long enough to explore San Francisco. :( I won't have enough money to pay for an extra day or two in the hotel (especially not the Sheraton).

I don't think I'll even be able to see the beach from anywhere that I'm staying. I miss the beach so very much. It makes my heart ache, just thinking about it. :happysad:
