Business Diploma Worth it (marketing)? or even widely accepted?

First a little information, Ive applied to a few universities, and got accepted to a few, all in the places i really didn't want to go or couldn't afford to. Life started dragging down on me, and Ive been having to make a decision over the past few months on what im finally doing for my education. I wanted to go into psychology for a long time, but after i saw the jobs that you could get with a bachelors in it, it turned me off, and 7 years of school to be a psychologist is not an option for me. The other degree i was interested in was business and marketing. its hard to explain everything, but to sum it up, i really don't wanna go to school for 4 years, and i really want to move (to the states) as soon as possible. the schools here havnt been biting, and even if i was accepted into a bachelors program here for business im not sure i would even want to. so i started looking up diplomas and i found one that was exactly into the field i wanted to go into! but when i think of diplomas i don't normally think of 'full education' and im worried if i do go into it, it'll just end up being a piece of paper potential employers wont think much of. I dont have much information or know anyone that would know, but im just wondering if diplomas are well worth it? and if it could help me secure a job after i get out. I live in Canada and i want to immigrate to the states. i know our education system i think is pretty on par, at least if i had a degree it would be valid over there, im not sure if diplomas are the same, and if it would become worthless when i want to move. the only other thing i can say is the place that offers the business diploma (marketing) is a credited university that also offers a bachelors in the same area. the scariest thing i think is wasting 2 years of study and maybe my only chance of education if its worthless or meaningless.
