There is currently a fluctuation in yen to a dollar and that impact's Toyota by a negative $1.8billion dollar impact for a quarter, is there anything I can do to resolve this problem?
The firm has likely put on some type of hedge to protect itself against the fluctuation. I'm guessing a foreign currency-denominated forward exchange contract. With the news of the Fed cutting rates, the firm likely took aggressive action to account for the adjustment of Yen/Dollar and Yen/Euro.
