my niece is going to be visiting us mid April and we were thinking of going to either Busch gardens, VA or kingsdominion. what i am asking is which of the parks would be best for my 20 month old... please dont just refer me to the websites, i tried that and i think personal accounts are much more valuable

My kids loved Kings Dominion!! and its only about 25 minutes away from ME....but the characters are awesome like the backyardigans , sponge bob and Patrick , Blues Clues and Scooby Doo....and there are quite a few things to do...my youngests were 11 months and 26 months at the time we went...and we stayed 12 noon to 12 midnight! i dont think Busch Gardens was to interesting...but thats just my opinion

I personally think Busch Gardens would be better, because there's a lot more to do. It's got more shows and in general is more family friendly. Plus, it's more fun for adults. It's themed by country, and Kings Dominion, from my experience, was just over crowded and kind of junky.

I live in Richmond, right between the 2. Definitely go to Busch Gardens. 1,000,000 times better. It's cleaner and more family friendly. There is a really cool kids area, and a bird sanctuary. Lots of shows that will entertain her. And it's right next to Water Country, which is also a lot of fun for little ones, if you have the time.

Eta: sorry, I just re-read your question. Water Country isn't open in April. But still, don't bother with Kings Dominion.

Kings Dominion is more suited for children while Busch Gardens is suited more towards adults. If going just for the children, go to Kings Dominion. (I live in VA and have been to both a million times)

Most definitely Busch Gardens. It is one of the cleanest parks I have ever been to. There is something there for every one, ever age which sounds like what you are looking for. Definitely a NICER park.
