Hi, I'm new here. Hope I'm in the right board. It's about pain but it's not chronic...so I don't know where it should be. Yesterday morning while brushing my teeth I became aware of pain, suddenly spreading from my left shoulder to my right....it also spread up my neck to the lower back of my head. The arm holding the tooth brush ached and I had to stop brushing. As I was going to work, I took a pain killer and left.....it ached till I came home, and the shoulders hurt unbearably every time I extend my neck to look upwards. In the middle of the night the burning feeling came back...I panicked, cos I've never experienced this before. This morning I thought it had subside...and I felt better. After doing some errands, I decided to rest in the afternoon ....waking up, I sat up..and the pain was back...it was worse ! my back and shoulders felt as if on fire....I was so stressed and tried to distract myself from the pain..I went online and found this board[it stopped hurting after half an hour]has anybody experienced this problem ?? Any tips how to handle it? I'm really scared it will come back again....[ It's a big holiday here now, so I have to wait a few days to see my Doc ]
Btw, I'm in my 40ies and have controled-hypertention.
Thanks..
