burning nerves in back?

A good idea or not? I had several back surgerys in the past years and then aquired MRSA and damm near died , the infection settled in my S.I. joint right side , now i had the second set of facet joint injections with steroiRAB with little relief and now they want to burn the nerves in my back and my S.I. area. Has any one had this done ? results?
Also is there any thing that can be done to the S.I. joint to get relief?besides medicines?
 
I had this done to both my SI (right side) and lurabar area with good results. But a prior nerve block in the place they are going to burn should also be used as the determining factor as to whether or not the nerve ablation will be helpful. Typically, if the nerve block is helpful, even very briefly, then the radio-frequency treatment will also be helpful.
